The only thing that can be traceable from this inscription is the king was expert in Gandharva śāstra (Dance & Music) and he wrote so many plays starting with the comedy plays Mattavilāsa and Bhagavadajjuka. One of the play had Bharata as hero as narrated by Vālmīki. He wrote another one based on the Vastrāhahāra of Draupadī. Another work that can be traceable is a play related with the story of ūrvaśi. A work called “Dakṣiṇa Citra” seems to be written by the king. Thought there is not direct referece to the king, The titles, Nitya Vinīta, Satya Sandha and śatrumalla are the keys to identify this inscription as of Mahendra I.
