The well known sea shore temple at Mahābalipuram too contains an inscription of Rājasiṃha pallava, the builder of the temple. The inscription runs around the plinth of the temple. The inscription is in Sanskrit and written in Grantha letters. The verses are attributing the qualities of the king.
The inscription was discovered in 1912 and was published in Epigraphia Indica Vol XIX by Sri. V.Rangacharya. Actually this inscription helped the scholar to identify the builder. The inscription gives various titles of the king some of which are not found in another inscriptions.

The name Candrārdhaśekhaśikhāmaṇi and śivacūḍāmaṇi denote that he bore the image of lord śiva by his head. The phrase “śirassarasi śakṅaraḥ” from another epigraph too gives the same opinion.
